El Calafate

El Calafate is a city in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina and the capital of the department of Lago Argentino. It is located in the Argentine Patagonia, near the southern shore of Lake Argentino and 256 km northwest of Rio Gallegos. Its rapidly growing population was 6,143 in 2001 and 21,132 in 2014.
